In deep mourning stands this hou
Heaven sent the sigh of a child
In innocence to see them smile
The loving hands that rock that cradle
The Mothers Love so tender
The creases in her lilting smile
Laughing eyes sometimes still
But loyal and true as no other
Sweet Mother tell me all
Where fairies play and dragons call
Up and away in magical flight
Those stories told through the night
In gentle sleep the children slumber
Whilst in the kitchen Mother works
Cooking baking, all that's natural
Her loving hands take to work
Now the years are rolling fast
Not so happy in her laugh
The child has grown and left the nest
The Mother now can sit and rest
In her thoughts she has marvelled often
How she fought her own hardship and needs
The Love beyond all other ventures
