The Candle Glow
By my request I want this wish T
The glow from the candle across the room
Is edged with shadow and the faintest bloom
Nothing is spares as the light shines ahead
Not even the ghosts sitting close to the bed
My cat is sitting washing his face
His look is stating he is hungry again
But its far too warm within the bed
For me to venture away to the cold
Morning will come and hopefully the Sun
And then little puss will have some fun
Into the garden away he will run
Stalking the birds and mice on the run
But back to the candle in its holder neat
The glass is crystal old and sleek
I wonder often how many hands touched the edge
And put in the candle to take to their bed
