Sweet memories of picnics and fu
Sweet memories of picnics and
fun
Of picking daisies and making chains
Sweet buttercups of yesterday
I remember blue skies from Spring
When baby lambs frolicked and ran
The seasons change and coldness comes
With it darkened skies and storms
Winter raises her head again
Howling in torturous tones
Finding every crack and crevice to moan
Many people raise their collars
To ward off the rains and winds
Now summer has gone and winter is here
Trees stand bare awaiting new buds
Stark against the darkened skies
Little lights glow inside homes
Christmas has come yet again
Laughter and fun are heard within
Oh how happy children are
Christmas trees are seen in windows
Bedecked with trimmings and bells
Sprayed with white foam like snow
Up high a little Angel sits
Awaiting Christmas eve
Gone now winters cold and fogs
New buds where autumn leaves fell
Golden and russet upon the ground
Crunched beneath tall trees
In forests glow where rabbits meet
Bonfires and smoke fill the air
Fueled by old boughs without a care
Suddenly a rustle is heard
And out flies a hedgehog awoken by warmth
But soon Spring will be in the air
And all will be good and grass will grow
Sweet memories of Summer gone
Yet newborn again for tender moments.
